Feeling pain during intercourse affects sexual performance as well as orgasm. It may have psychological side effects that may lead to erectile dysfunction, and it is not surprising that feeling pain during intercourse leads to strained relationships between spouses. All of these side effects are temporary symptoms that disappear with the demise of the cause.

Male sexual intercourse pain reasons

There are many possible causes for pain during intercourse:

1- Except for infections

Pain may result from some sexually transmitted diseases such as herpes or gonorrhea that have not been treated.

 infections of the urinary and genital system: prostate, bladder, and internal channels of sperm infections may lead to a burning sensation in the urethra for the moment of the descent of semen

2- Diseases affecting the foreskin (which is the skin that covers the head of the penis before circumcision)

These diseases rarely occur in our Arab world because of the traditions that require male circumcision, including severe narrowing of the foreskin as a result of infections, or injury to the foreskin with injuries or infections resulting from friction.

3- Deformation of the penis

 Some cases of congenital malformations such as hypospadias or curvature of the penis as a result of sclerosis of the cavernous body or deformities resulting from injury or wounds to the penis or such as tumors (benign or malignant)

4- Permanent erection

It is a rare condition in which an erection not related to sexual excitement occurs that is permanent and painful, and the erection may last for hours or perhaps days

5- Peyronie’s disease

It is a disease of cirrhosis of the penis of unknown cause, and in some cases, severe curvature of the penis may occur, causing pain during penetration

6- Skin allergies

Some men may feel sensitivity in the skin of the penis due to vaginal secretions, chemicals used in various contraceptives, or substances used during intercourse.

7- Pain has a psychological reference, such as stress and depression
